Dr. Winward is a clinical mental health counselor. He has an extensive professional background in education and family studies: he has worked as a seminary teacher, religious institute instructor and assistant director, and university instructor for Brigham Young University-Idaho and Utah State University.  Dr. Winward holds a psychology degree and a terminal doctoral degree in family and human development from Utah State Univeristy. He also has a master's degree in educational administration from New Mexico State University. Outside of his professional career, Dr. Winward has extensive community and religious service.
